We are proud to release a collaboration project with a local Canadian surf brand, Sitka . The unisex sweaters include the "howling wolf" design in different colourways.
These sweaters can be purchased online here or at your nearest finest Sitka retailer.
Sitka:
The name Sitka derives from the mighty Sitka Spruce, a tree naturally drawn to the rugged shorelines of Western Canada; our family grew from the same endeavor.
The seed was sown in the Fall of 2002 when two Canadian surfers, Andrew Paine and Rene Gauthier, with their shared passion and vision for making surfboards, decided to take their hobby out of the garage and offer a fresh possibility to the local surfing population.
While surfing always has and will continue to be the heart of our brand, Sitka’s nexus has expanded to encompass all of the elements that inspirit the lifestyle of our family – surf, skate, music, art, culture and travel
Granted was requested by WORN Fashion Journal to contribute to their Don Cherry fashion article "Cherry picking". Don Cherry is an opinionated, controversial, and best of all, sartorially splendid Canadian icon. WORN Fashion Journal invited six artists and designers from across the country to reinterpret his image, garnering results that may rival Don's wardrobe in their diversity.
Inspiration behind this sweater was the iconic chunky knit sweater of the Canadian West Coast. The dog pattern was modeled after Mr.Cherry's late dog Blue that was featured in many early "Rock em' sock em" videos. The overall colourway was taken from the days of his coaching years with the Boston Bruins. His nickname "Grapes" is placed on the back like a hockey jersey.
WORN Fashion journal discusses the cultures, subcultures, histories, and personal stories of fashion. We strive to embody a place between pop culture magazine and academic journal that opens new avenues in art and fashion theory by hovering where these two ideas intersect, connecting with fashion scholars and artists.
You can find an issue of WORN Fashion journal here or take a look at their blog .

Three years ago the David Suzuki sweater started off as a concept project to see if the details of a person's face would show properly on a knit swatch. Our knitter's skill had to be tested as some of our Granted sweaters were going to be quite detailed in the future. One of our designer's had an idea to knit up a Canadian icon and we all decided that David Suzuki's face would make for an interesting knit. After weeks of tweaking, we finally had a design we were happy with. We waited anxiously as the knitters finished up the swatch (pictured) and the knit sample turned out better than planned. The next step was to make it into a sweater, we added Douglas Firs on the front and a simple motif... the sweater was finally complete! From there we posted it on our blog site not knowing the excitement it would bring and soon after we heard from the David Suzuki Foundation!
Today we are proud to announce that we will be selling the OFFICIAL David Suzuki sweater with partial proceeds going directly to the David Suzuki Foundation . This is your chance to own a unique piece of Canadiana. These sweaters will be produced in limited numbers and available only through our website.
Our new shopping cart will be up and running in August but you can pre-order now by emailing us at mail@grantedclothing.com

...DEVIN MORROW of Winnipeg! Congratulations!
Everywhere Grant Lawrence of the CBC Radio 3 went with his CBC sweater, people wanted to know where they could get one. We don't have the rights to sell one, so we decided to have a sweater contest give-away. Every week for the last seven months, people had the chance to submit their names into Grant's radio show and just last week it was announced!
Our shopping cart is temporarily closed for the season but will re-open in August with new designs.
If you're interested in ordering at this time, please email us at directly at mail@grantedclothing.com

This video really struck a cord with me.
As I watched the video it brought back memories of my child hood, playing video games like most kids do. The pixelated world depicted in this video really shows how I see the world when thinking and designing our sweaters.
I hope you enjoy this amazing video by One More Productions and Patrick Jean.
We've received interest from many areas of the world and would like to thank all Granted supporters, retailers, fans and bloggers. Our next season is filled with many exciting collaborations and new designs so please check back for updates.
At the end of the month (April 30th), we'll be closing our shopping cart but will re-open for the coming Fall/Winter season.
